Stay at Big Wave Soledad

The Atlantis Surfhostel has now moved and offers you the Hostel Soledad Big Waves, where you will find an ambience in the old, thick walls of a former finca: chill out in the large inner courtyard with a roof and enjoy an after surf afternoon on top of the roof terrace with sea view. Meet nice people who also have surfing at the top of their list as they want to be in the water four hours a day.

The Soledad Big Waves is a restored finca from the 1900 century, is a listed building and has been artistically worked up with great attention to detail. A backdrop from a different era: colorful and in love with wood, modern and old combined. Dreamlike.

The Soledad Big Waves Hostel has a huge lounge, which is a patio, where you will find a cozy sitting area as well as the kitchenette, where you have a stove with oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and two refrigerators. Here you can supply yourself with fresh mangoes, papayas and avocados for breakfast. At lunchtime we will hand you a packed lunch and in the afternoon and evening you can go to the restaurant right next to the hostel to feast.

In the hostel we have separate men’s and women’s toilets and a bathroom with separate showers.

Everything spacious and with a lot of light and love.

Here you can rent, inquire and book everything to do with surfing.

From beginner courses to advanced courses and mental surf coaching, we also offer yoga, Thai massages and surf skating.

The hostel has a single room, a double room, a dorm for women (6 beds in total) and a large room with 12 beds with individual lockers.

In the area we not only have great waves for surfing: El Paso, El Bunker, La derecha del Roque, El Picacho but also many other possibilities for activities: the sea swimming pool of San Lorenzo is less than 4 minutes’ walk from Soledad Big Waves, there can you sunbathe and swim.

A hike to the Cenobio de Valeron takes about 1.5 hours and takes you along a coastal road with a wide view of the sea and past banana plantations, where you can experience the history of the indigenous people of Gran Canaria up close. If you are still fit, walk down the former shepherd’s path to San Felipe. Climb on the natural climbing rocks of the valleys of Moya and San Felipe and experience a sports holiday with a lot of variety. A secret happy place for surfing? The North of Gran Canaria!
